ABOUT VERIFIEDHUMAN
Creators across 25+ countries. Six continents. Since 2023.
VerifiedHuman is a global certification platform for human-made creative work. Like Fair Trade for coffee, we give audiences a way to find the real thing — and creators a way to prove it's theirs.
We're not a detection tool. We don't scan content to identify AI. Creators voluntarily commit to transparent, field-specific standards, and our 5-level Human-AI Spectrum defines when AI assistance crosses from tool to creator. Eight categories. Free to join. Pay what you can.
We are a collective of creators and thinkers committed to protecting the human origin of creativity in an increasingly automated world.
We are just like you.
People who value authentic human work. We're optimists and problem-solvers.
We don't fear progress. We engage it. We don't see AI as a challenge to manage but an opportunity to champion equity, spotlight human contribution, and remind the world of the inherent value of every person.
VerifiedHuman is more than a model for human–AI differentiation. It's a shared ideal, a global movement toward trust, transparency, and the irreplaceable dignity of human creativity.
"No one can reliably distinguish human-made work from AI-generated content anymore. Not trained judges. Not expert photographers. Not teachers."
— from Human Is the New Vinyl
WHAT'S AT STAKE
Why this matters — right now.
Because human creativity isn't a commodity. The years you spent learning your craft, the lived experience you bring to every piece of work — that doesn't become worthless just because a machine can approximate it.
Because trust has a future only if we protect it now. When audiences can't tell human from machine, skepticism becomes the default. Every creator inherits the doubt.
Because every field — education, art, business, science — needs clarity about what is genuinely human-authored. Without a label, there's no way to choose. The people who care have no way to find you.
Because someone has to build the label. Fair Trade didn't exist until someone decided it should. We're building the same thing for creativity — and we started nearly two years before the mainstream conversation caught up.

Micah Voraritskul
Founder
Micah launched VerifiedHuman in April 2023 — nearly two years before human authorship certification entered the mainstream conversation. What started as a standard for one creative field has grown into a global movement spanning 25+ countries on six continents.
He's the author of Human Is the New Vinyl, which builds the case for why human creativity matters in the age of AI — and why the answer is differentiation, not resistance.
